Hörmann Industrieservice GmbH is a specialist company in accordance with the Water Resources Act (WHG) and manufactures as well as installs collecting trays in accordance with WHG in steel coated and stainless steel. The quality of the execution is ensured by certified welders and an own welding supervisor (IWF=International Welding Specialist).

The German Institute for Structural Engineering has issued a guideline on the requirements for steel collecting trays with a capacity of up to 1000 l, the so-called Steel Tray Guideline (Abbreviation: StawaR).

Among other things, this guideline specifies materials and wall thicknesses for collecting pans, depending on the material from which they are made.
According to this guideline, collecting trays may only be manufactured by certified welding companies, e.g. manufacturer's qualification C according to DIN 18800-7 or design class EXC2 according to DIN EN 1090-2.

Hörmann Industrieservice GmbH meets these requirements through its‘ qualification according to DIN EN 1090-2 design class EXC3 and a certified factory production control (WPK).

Collecting trays are tested by us using a dye penetrant method by a certified expert welding specialist, the test is documented in a certificate.

In addition, our customers receive complete documentation in accordance with DIN EN 1090 including material certificates from the steel manufacturer. The tank itself is provided by us with a type plate, which contains the following information according to StawaR:

  • Manufacturer of the drip pan
  • Year of manufacture and manufacturing number (our order number)
  • Material of the drip tray
  • Collection volume
